Is there a mobile version of Discover & Go?

887 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jul 12, 2016    Mobile

Mobile site?

Yes!  Discover & Go is also mobile. If the user comes to your site on a mobile phone, they will be directed to the mobile version of the site.  This is why we ask for a mobile version of your logo as well as a mobile logout URL (where to send people when they logout of the mobile version of Discover & Go).

Mobile Passes?

Yes - for select venues.  Museums that agree to accept mobile passes are also setup so that the pass can be displayed on the phone and the user can gain admission by showing the pass.  If the museum does not want to accept mobile passes, the user must still print out the pass and this is indicated when they view their Discover & Go reservations on their phone.

Info about whether or not an Opening Day Collection venue accepts mobile passes is indicated on the ODC info page:  click here.

This is what it looks like on your mobile reservations page:

Can a patron cancel an active Discover & Go reservation if a pass hasn't been printed yet?

804 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jan 15, 2019    Patrons Cancellation

You can cancel a pass, ONLY if you have not clicked on the "Print/Download" button and agreed to the warning that passes cannot be cancelled after downloading. Library staff cannot cancel passes for you. Passes cannot be cancelled after the reservation date has passed either. (NOTE: the pass does not have to be physically printed to eliminate the cancel option.)

We recommend you do not print/download your pass until right before your reservation. That way, you always have the option to cancel the reservations yourself, should your plans change.

To cancel a pass, login to your Discover & Go account and click on the "Cancel Reservation" button: ccclib.org/tutorials/DiscoverGo/Printing Discover & Go pass.mp4

My library system allows for multiple last name fields for patron names. Will their Discover & Go account allow them to login with either last name?

726 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jan 08, 2016

Yes. The Discover & Go login page will recognize any of the last name fields. However, please note that whichever last name the patron uses to log into their account is the last name that will print on their Discover & Go pass. The patron will have to show ID along with the pass at the venue to gain admission, so it is important that the name on the pass matches the name on the ID.

What do I do if the patron cannot see the "Reserve Icon"?

721 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jan 16, 2018

A patron cannot see the ticket-shaped icon on any of the venues listed when they log in to Discover & Go.

The patron record may indicate they are under the age limit your library has set in D&G admin, so they can browse but not reserve.  You can test this by setting own your patron record to that of a minor (e.g., DOB in 2010) to confirm.

A new month opens up complete with available passes on the 1st day of the current month.

How many Discover & Go museum passes can a patron reserve?

696 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jan 08, 2016    Patrons Availability

Patrons can have two active reservations at a time.

For example, if they make one reservation for a visit in June and a second reservation for a visit this Saturday, they can make another reservation after they completed their visits this Saturday.

Having two active reservations will also block patrons from making additional bookings for future dates.

Why are there no available tickets in Discover & Go?

657 views   |   0   0   |   Last updated on Jan 08, 2016    Patrons Availability

Tickets might not be available for the following reasons:

- Venues limit the number of tickets available to our patrons

- Some of the venues limit tickets to specific zip-codes only

- Venues restrict the number of passes a cardholder can reserve for a given period

- All tickets are booked for a given period and/or a venue hasn't released new tickets
